History

Pricer, founded in1991 in Uppsala, Sweden, is the global leader in providing in-store digital shelf-edge solutions that enhance both store performance and the shopping experience. Pricer AB’s class B share has been traded on the Small Cap list of Nasdaq Stockholm since 1996.

2016
Pricer introduces automated product positioning where the system through the digital shelf labels can map out the products’ location in the store.

2015
Order intake and sales reach record levels, driven by sharply increased demand for digital shelf-edge solutions with e-paper. The loss is turned to profit.

2014
Pricer launches a new digital strategy that gives retailers a solution not only for pricing, but also for streamlining, consumer contact, campaigns and forecasts.

2013
100 million shelf labels installed.

2012
Pricer maintains its market-leading position.

2011
Continued strong growth in sales and profit leads to Pricer’s best year ever.

2010
Dramatic increase in sales and profit. Several significant framework agreements are signed.

2009
Pricer passes 5,000 store installations. Pricer ESL and DotMatrix™ reach new customer segments.

2008
Increasing market penetration for the product DotMatrix™. Pricer maintains its market-leading position.

2007
The integration of Eldat is completed. Pricer reports a positive result.

2006
Eldat Communication Ltd. in Israel is acquired. The holding in Appulse Ltd. is sold.

2005
Significant growth in sales. Carrefour extends its installation in France. The Continuum product family is introduced.

2004
Pricer wins a major order from the French retailer Carrefour. Through its partner Ishida, Pricer is also awarded a substantial contract by Ito-Yokado in the Japanese market. IBM is another new partner in the US market.

2003
The ESL development company PIER AB is formed. Pricer becomes majority owner of the software company Appulse Ltd. in India. StoreNext is a new partner in the US market.

2002
An extensive action program is carried out to restructure and streamline operations and sharpen the customer focus.

2001
Pricer wins a major order in Japan through its partner Ishida.

2000
Intactix is sold to the American company JDA Software Group.

1999
Deliveries to the Metro stores are completed.

1998
Partnership formed with Ishida in Japan.

1997
Pricer acquires Intactix, a supplier of systems for space management. A partnership is established with Telxon, which delivers wireless and portable tele-transaction computers and systems.

1996
Pricer is introduced on the O list of the Stockholm Stock Exchange.

1995
An agreement is signed with Metro for installations in 53 Metro stores in Germany.

1993
The first Pricer system is installed at ICA in Sweden.

1991
Pricer is founded in June. Development of the first ESL system begins.
